Josée Perreault was born in Québec, Canada. She attained a bachelor's degree in
Graphic Design at the University of Québec, in Montréal. Starting out as a free-lance illustrator, her experience and success led her to establish her own studio in Montréal. Won over by the watercolor medium, she began in 1988 to devote more and more of her time to deepen her experience of that technique into her personal work. She left the city and moved to the country to benefit from a more natural inspiring setting which has become her main source of inspiration, giving a strong impression of magic in here paintings. Her personal approach to the aquarelle medium has developed into an exciting and unique artistic expression. She has won several distinctions including Fine Art grants from the Ministère de la Culture du Québec and will represent Canada at the next Biennial Exhibition of the Paris Fine Arts Society in France. Her paintings have been part of many exhibitions all over America and are in demand among collectors. |
