Nautical Artist    J.A. Kendall
The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter " Eagle", a 295 foot square rigger with 175 hands, built in 1936 in Hamburg, Germany.   Originally commissioned the "Horst Wessel", she was taken as a war prize in 1946 and is now owned by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy based in New London, Connecticut.
